Become a Host Family with the Green Heart Student Exchange Program!

Hello Cazenovia! My name is Catherine Jeannin and I am a local coordinator with Greenheart Exchange.

In the last two years, Cazenovia High School welcomed 8 different students from Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Japan, Germany, Spain, The Gaza Strip and Bulgaria. These kids provided such a unique cultural perspective for our community.

For the upcoming school year, we have a boy named Godfred who comes to us from Ghana and is a YES scholarship finalist. He is being hosted by the Wardell/Revelle family.

Students come with full health insurance and their own spending money. Host families provide a bed, 3 meals a day and a welcoming home with lots of love. Students become part of your family and you become connected for a lifetime. You do not have to have teenagers in the house. Empty nesters, young families, single folks are all welcomed!

We are still searching for 3 more volunteer host families in the Caz School District by August 31st, 2023. The need is critical!

What's it like to Host?

Families who host international high school students often tell us about the joy of experiencing another culture while sharing the American way of life. Cultural exchange experiences can be life-changing for the high schooler AND for the host family. Host Families often develop long-lasting relationships with their foreign exchange students and their families. Open your heart and home to an international exchange student and perhaps you will find yourself halfway around the globe celebrating with them and their family in the years that follow your hosting experience.
