Saturday Farmer's Market

A beloved Cazenovia tradition and opportunity for surrounding regions to visit pedestrian-friendly, downtown Cazenovia. Enjoy a variety of vendors including local farmers, artisans and more!
Sensory Saturdays
Every Saturday, June 22 - August 17
1pm - 3pm, Rippleton School House at Lorenzo
This summer, the Rippleton Schoolhouse at Lorenzo invites visitors of all ages to engage with history hands-on during Sensory Saturdays. Come explore an authentic 1887 schoolhouse, try your hand at traditional games and activities, and explore the beautiful grounds. Admission is free!
July 4th Weekend
Book a room at one of our charming Inns and enjoy a weekend of festivities! July 4th kicks off with a pancake breakfast, annual footraces, and a parade through the village! Fireworks over the water can be enjoyed at any of our lakeside parks or establishments, or from your boat on the lake. Get the full schedule here.
Lavendar Festival, July 6
10am - 4pm, Farmstead 1868
Experience lavender season on the farm with classes, samples, demonstrations, and our first-ever artisan vendor market. Look for 20+ inspired local artisans who will showcase their one-of-a-kind handmade creations, plus demonstrations from local farmers, artists, and experts. Tickets and more information here.
Cazenovia Counterpoint, July 9 - 21
This year’s Cazenovia Counterpoint Festival of the expressive arts runs the entire month of July. The musical events, which are mostly free, continue to be focused on opportunities for young musicians in the region, alongside newly created music, recent poetry collections, film, and art throughout the village, which is now celebrating its 241st anniversary! Lorenzo Driving Competition, July 19-21
8am - 5pm, Lorenzo State Historic Site

For 46 years, the Lorenzo Driving Competition has been a midsummer classic, showcasing the grace and athleticism of the sport of carriage driving in a not-to-be-forgotten setting: the great lawn of an early 1800s mansion overlooking Cazenovia Lake. Highlights also include a Drive and Ride class, displaying the versatility of our equine partners, and a carriage dog class with some of the cutest and best-behaved woofs around!
Syracuse Orchestra, July 25
7:30pm, Lorenzo State Historic Site

Join us on the front lawn of Lorenzo to enjoy a night of beautiful music under the stars. The Syracuse Orchestra will perform a variety of classical and popular music, including music of Smetana, Bernstein, and Copland, plus music from Harry Potter and the Legend of Zelda. Come early for the dinner 5:30 - 7:15 or bring a picnic! Admission to the concert is free.
Open Farm Days, July 27
10am - 4pm, Madison County Farms
This is your chance to visit nearly 30 working farms and meet local farmers! Enjoy farm tours, demonstrations, animals, product tastings and more! Check out the website to download a passport map with a complete listing of all the stops in 2024. Grab your friends and family, visit as many farms as you can, and have a blast at Open Farm Day!
Caz Summer Festival, August 2-4
Cazenovia's Summer Festival weekend, featuring Soul Injection performing live at Lakeland Park, a petting zoo, horse drawn wagon rides, art demos, scavenger hunt, kayak rentals, pop-up vendors, great food, and more. Get the details here!
Blueberry Jam Festival, August 3

Join us for our all-day, family-friendly Blueberry Jam Festival on Saturday, August 3rd. Enjoy food trucks, live music, vendors, wagon rides, children’s entertainers, farm tours, animals, and so much more!
Our food truck lineup includes: Toss ‘N Fire Pizza, Salt City Smokehouse, Skippy’s Ice Cream, Rosie’s Place, Birdsong Cafe, and D& G’s Mac and Cheese.
Caroga Arts Collective Concert,
August 15
6pm, Lorenzo Sate Historic Site
Caroga Arts Collective, founded and directed by cellist Kyle Price, will return to our front lawn for a second year. Comprised of top professional musicians from around the country, performers may include School of Music faculty, and members of America’s leading orchestras and chamber groups. Last year’s playlist included Mendelson, Gershwin, Oscar Peterson, Taylor Swift, and the Eagles! Bring your own seating and picnic. Admission is free.
Music at the Meadows, August 17
5:30pm, Meadows Estate
Join the Symphoria String Quartet, presented by the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation, in a beautiful summer setting at the Meadows Estate, located at 6 Rippleton Rd. Bring your own chairs, pack a picnic dinner, or pre-order goodies from the Brewster Inn. There is assistance available from the parking area to the seating area, and accessible restrooms are also available. The picnic area opens at 5:30 pm, and the concert begins at 7:00 pm. Cazenovia Triathalon, August 18
8am, Lakeside Park

CNY's historic multi-distance triathlon, located in beautiful Cazenovia, New York. The Cazenovia Triathlon offers participants a challenging, fun and scenic course along the shores of Cazenovia Lake and through the gentle rolling hills of Madison County. Races include Sprint and Olympic distances along with Aqua bike and Relay options. All abilities are encouraged to attend.
