High School Triathlon Training Program

Join the High School Triathlon Training Program this Summer!

Are you a high school athlete looking for an exciting challenge this summer? Look no further! CNY Triathlon is thrilled to present the High School Triathlon Training Program, offering six weeks of training and fun triathlons at Jamesville Beach.


Program Details:

  • When: Wednesdays from 6-8pm, June 12 through July 24, 2024.

  • Distances: Swim 1/4 mile, Bike 7.3 miles, Run 1.7 miles (or form Relay Teams)

  • Podium Awards: Gold, Silver, Bronze

  • Cost: $60 for the entire six weeks, which includes membership in the CNY Triathlon Club. Register online

Eligibility: Participants must have completed 8th grade or be enrolled in 9th grade. Separate divisions for girls and boys.

No Bicycle? No Problem!

Don't have a bike? Not to worry! The Triathlon Club offers bikes for beginners to rent. Plus, scholarships are available for those with limited resources. A parent must sign a Liability Waiver for all participants.

Clinic #1 - June 4: Run Skills & Drills, 5-6:30 pm

Clinic hosted by Fleet Feet at the Dewitt Location. In this clinic, trained coaches will teach you simple, but highly effective techniques that will help you transform into a more efficient, healthy runner. You will have your run evaluated in the store so you can better practice your techniques on your own and be better equipped to run faster, easier and injury free. Short run will follow.


Clinic #2 - June 12: Open Water Swim & Bike Skills, 6-8 pm

In this clinic, we will teach you proven strategies that prepare you for your open water swim, manage anxiety, acclimate to conditions, mass starts, sighting, turns and more. There will be a 30-45 minute practice swim and run (1.7 mi) that follows the clinic. Note: Participants must be able to independently and comfortably swim 400m in a pool.


Clinic #3 - June 19: Open Water Swim & Bike Skills Session 2, 6-8 pm

In this clinic, we will teach you proven strategies that prepare you for your open water swim, manage anxiety, acclimate to conditions, mass starts, sighting, turns and more. There will be a 30-45 minute practice swim and run (1.7 mi) that follows the clinic. Note: Participants must be able to independently and comfortably swim 400m in a pool.


Clinic #4 - June 26: In & Out Transition, 6-8 pm

In this clinic, we will teach you the proper way to lay out your transition area and provide tips and tricks on how to get IN and OUT of transition as fast as possible on race day. Additionally, we will show you how to mount and dismount your bike like a pro! We’ll teach you varying levels of approaches to hopping on and off your bike efficiently and without getting hurt.

40-45 minute practice swim (1/4 mile or 400meter) precedes the clinic. If time allows, there will be a bike (7.3mile) workout following the clinic.


Jamesville Beach Super Sprint #1 - July 10, 6-8 pm

This event is the culmination of training where high school athletes will swim 1/4 mile, bike 7.1 miles, and run 1.7 miles or form relay teams. Podium and gift card awards will be given to Gold, Silver and Bronze winners (Boys and Girls Division). Must be signed up for the CNY Tri Club Summer Program.


Jamesville Beach Super Sprint #2 - July 17, 6-8 pm

This event is the culmination of training where high school athletes will swim 1/4 mile, bike 7.1 miles, and run 1.7 miles or form relay teams. Podium and gift card awards will be given to Gold, Silver and Bronze winners (Boys and Girls Division). Must be signed up for the CNY Tri Club Summer Program.
